About
I'm a Portuguese PhD student currently attending the Universitat de Barcelona in Spain where I have been researching the cultural consequences of the revolutions of the 1640's decade in Portugal, Catalonia and Naples as well as the circulation of engravings and other visual representations within these territories. As a PhD student, I am currently supported by a fellowship from the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia, the Portuguese Government's institutional body responsible for financing and evaluating the national scientific and technological system.
Prior to my PhD, I did my initial graduate studies in History, at the University of Coimbra from 2003 to 2007, having graduated with high marks. While a student there I chose to go abroad for a year, in 2005, to study in Barcelona as an exchange student under the Erasmus Programme. After finishing my graduate studies, I returned to Barcelona, to the Universitat de Barcelona, to pursue my Masters in Modern History - 2007 to 2009, after which I began my PhD.
