About

My research agenda is focused on applied economics and especially on Regional Economics. I am currently doing my PhD dissertation, under the supervision of Prof. Rosina Moreno, about the geography of innovation and knowledge spillovers. Broadly speaking, the PhD dissertation I am going to defend in a near future deals with knowledge diffusion across individuals and firms, and throughout the space. In the age of the knowledge-based economy, the transmission of knowledge is increasingly important for the creation of innovations, more and better knowledge, and subsequently growth and well-being. Concretely, the mechanisms through which knowledge diffuses –especially tacit knowledge- are going to be studied in my dissertation.

I am also member of the European Economic Association and the Spatial Econometrics Association, and I received a scholarship from the Ministry of Science and Innovation (Spain) since September 2008 for University Personnel Formation. Before that, I had also received a scholarship from the Autonomous Catalan Government for the same purposes since January 2008. Besides, I am participating in a competitive project financed by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation.
